Ramius currently has openings for full-time Business Consultants with project management experience to work out of its Ottawa, Canada offices.

Position Overview

As a member of the company's Professional Services team, you will be responsible for delivering start-up and ongoing operational and relationship management services to Ramius' large enterprise clients. Since this position involves occasional travel, a valid passport is required.

Business Consultants are responsible for understanding the way specific clients use Ramius' CommunityZero software to fulfill their unique corporate objectives. This focused understanding will enable Ramius' Customer Support Representatives to assist customers in facilitating their CommunityZero implementations.

Among their responsibilities, Professional Services Representatives are involved in introducing and training end users, facilitating community interactions, documenting customer-specific customizations, coordinating launch initiatives, preparing progress reports, and making recommendations for improved engagement of end users.

Professional Services Representatives will be assigned responsibility for specific corporate clients, and they will be the primary support contact for those clients.

Minimum Education

  • University Degree, College Diploma, or significant relevant business experience

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Technically savvy, results-oriented, and quality-focused
  • Capable of working independently and as a strong team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Analytical and business-oriented
  • An effective and professional communicator, both verbal and written
  • 5+ years experience in Business / IT consulting, project management, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead or participate in the definition of client requirements (Business Analysis)
  • Lead or assist in proposing a Ramius CommunityZero solution
  • Development of project plans
  • Oversight of software implementations
  • Oversight of ongoing customer support
  • Primary day-to-day management of client relationships
  • In-depth understanding of named customers' implementations of CommunityZero
  • Engagement support for named corporate customers (training, facilitation, documentation, coordination)
  • Tracking of interactions within CRM tools
  • Collaboration with sales and quality assurance teams
  • Progress reports

It would be an asset to have:

  • MBA
  • PMP designation
  • Experience in customer support
  • Knowledge of Web-based technologies and software such as HTML and Macromedia Breeze
  • Experience implementing collaboration software including Sharepoint, eRoom, Workplace, and others
